Veronique Chevalier, (aka The "Weird Val" of Dark Cabaret), is this year's SD Comic Steampunk Programming Co-ordintor.

She has extensively performed, as well as presented panels, at Steampunk, fan and comic conventions across North America, including SDCC, Dragon*Con, Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo, Seattle Steamcon, Teslacon, World Steam Expo and more!

Her original music has been played on Dr. Demento Radio; Rue Morgue Radio, & Volver a la Magia Radio-Show in Buenos Aires, among others, and her tracks can be found on numerous steampunk music compilations, including "A Sepiachord Passport" released by Projekt Records.

In addition to ink in "Gothic Beauty," "Rue Morge" & "Fangoria" and numerous online Steampunk publications, her image is included in "1000 Steampunk Creations" by Dr. Grymm, as well as "Steampunk Fashion" by Lisa Lewis. She is the 2012 recipient of The Steampunk Chronicle Readers' Choice Awards for “Best Dressed Female Steampunk.”

Screened as a comedy short at arts festivals & steampunk events across North America, "Sprocky Spittoon" is Veronique Chevalier's award-winning parody of The Beatles' "Rocky Raccoon". With art & direction by Nickelodeon's Kyle A. Carrozza, and animation by John Berry, this winsome bit of neo-retro cartooning elicits fits of mirth, with it's witty lyrics, and beguiling sight gags.

The MAD-emoiselle One Herself is also Creatrix of SteamKu ("Steampunk Haiku"), & authoress of "My Cog Is Bigger Than Your Cog: SteamKu & Other Verstrocities" with full-color, retina-staining illustrations by Monsieur Walter Sickert.
